Pulled hamstring during fencing?!


Question: Pulled hamstring during fencing!?
I was fencing today, and we jumped right into things, we didnt do any stretching at all!. We worked on lunges, and our instructor told us to lunge as far as we could!. When i did this, i felt this shooting pain in the back of my thigh and it hurt to put pressure on my leg!. I tried walking it off and it hurt even more!. After we started getting warm i tried to ignore it, but the pain was still there!. I can barely walk without limping now!. Im a 16 year old female, by the way!. Could i have pulled my hamstring!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh, and in the future, I'd remind you're instructor that I'ts really important to stretch before you go into exercises, esp!. lunges!. (I fence too)Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah i pulled both my quad and my hamstring playing soccer last season!. I was out for four months because the muscles would re-tear everytime i would try to play best thing is to rest and let it heal COMPLETELYWww@Answer-Health@Com
