Question: Has anyone else heard of someone making a loud clicking noise in the back of their nose/throat!?
My boyfriend does this when he's really relaxed, just drifting off to sleep and when he's actually asleep!. He seems to inhale quietly, exhale REALLY LOUDLY and then comes this UBER LOUD click that sounds like a dripping tap and seems to come from either his nasal passage or back of throat!. It's every 5 seconds and it's impossible to sleep through!
I can't get to sleep when he's doing it!! I could probably sleep if it was just the breathing sounds but this dripping tap noise is driving me MENTAL!

I, myself, suffer from this issue!. It's common in snorers and deep sleepers who lay on their back or breath through their mouth!. What you are hearing is either the Pharynx, or more likely, the Sphenoid Nasal Cavity fluctuating with intake of air!. Coax him into sleeping on his side by cuddling up in a certain way, or if you want to be outright bold, suggest he wear breathe right strips!. He could also eliminate it temporarily by taking a squirt of Afrin nasal spray but that can be addictive and keep him up all night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
