Question: Is Ambien (sleeping pill) addicive!?
I sometimes have trouble falling asleep and take Ambien CR!. I will sometimes use it if I am traveling on business and I have to get up earlier than usual, in a different time zone when you need to fall asleep at an earlier hour than your body wants to!. I also sometimes will take it if I just can't fall asleep after an hour of trying!.
While it helps me fall asleep, I don't want to become dependent on it either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ambien can cause dependence and is not recommended for long term use!. If you are taking it for a few days at a time just on business trips or travel and are able to sleep normally otherwise it is not likely a problem!.

Sleep medicines should, in most cases, be used only for short periods of time, such as one or two days and generally no longer than one or two weeks!. Yes for some people it may be!. I didn't think it was but then in the middle of the day I was on an 8 hr flight and this lady next to me was annoying so I took one!. Then later I realized I'd take them and stay up intentionally cause I liked the feeling, so i stopped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
my doctor says if you take them longer than two weeks in a row , you should ween yourself off them!. but, if you take them less, don't worry about it!. i took them three weeks, it didn't bother me to quit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
ALL sleep aids are addictive!. Just be careful using them!. For example, only buy the small packs!. From your description, it seems like you're using them responsibly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
