My Patellar tendon hurts. ....?!

Question: My Patellar tendon hurts!. !.!.!.!.!?
I'm 5 '8, and i ride a bmx bike!.

i put the seat all the way up to ensure maximum leg room!.

I don't know why it hurts because I haven't really done anything but play video games , I only use the bike to go get some chips and soda from the gas station!.

or maybe I strained it somehow in my sleep!.

It's been hurting moderately for 3 days!.

I can walk but the pain is always there!. ( bearable )

But I can't really run or jog that good!.

What can I do to recover faster !?

It's not arthritis cause i can bend my knee with no pain!.

i'm 17 , if that matters!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think cutting down on the video games, chips, and soda would help and add more walking in there!. Not jogging!. Chips and soda and inactivity all weaken the ligaments!. So when you do ride the BMX bike, it is only natural that you feel some kind of pain!. The best athletes, even BMX bike racers, practice to keep in shape!. If the pain continues even when you do some sort of exercise, get it checked out by an orthopedic doctor!. It COULD be something called Osgood-Schlatter syndrome, which is where the patellar tendon tears away from the tibia!. But that usually only happens in athletic kids much younger in age!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it's your tendon, because the pain would be considerably worse!.

It's more likely that you've strained the knee joint (overextended it the way it isn't supposed to go) it can happen if you ride a bike, and pedal really quickly, but you probably wouldn't notice till the next day!.

Just rest, and the knee should start to heal!.

If the pain persists for about a week, go to see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
