Question: Plz i really need some help!!?
about 6 months ago playing rugby for the school i damaged some ligament i my foot and was told not to do any sport on it for 3 weeks!. it healed up and it was ok!. yesterday evening i was yacht racing and after we had finished it was the exact same pain in the same place!.(we won the race out of 25 boats so it was a little consolation!) but now i want to know if there is any way of healing it in less than 3 weeks!? any help or advice would be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can try several things:
Your medical provider can refer you to physical therapy where you can get hot/cold treatments, ultrasound, massage and other treatments to stimulate healing!. For example, there is some discussion about whether or not cold lasers work to enhance healing and shorten healing time!.
You can try doing hot/cold soaks on your foot yourself to encourage the blood supply to the area (2 minutes hot and 1 minute cold, back and forth for 30 minutes, couple times a day) Don't burn yourself with excess heat or cold!. Repeatedly straining a ligament in the foot is a bad idea since it can lead to a lifetime of foot pain!. I would work very hard to avoid straining it ever again!. Foot surgeries are notoriously painful, so don't put yourself on that path!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
