This question is about sleep.?!

Question: This question is about sleep!.!?
It's 6:30 in the morning, the sun is already up, and I still have not gone to bed!. I don't think I am an insomniac because I eventually go to bed!. It's just that I NEVER feel tired!. During the school year, I would go to bed only because I had to wake up at 5 am the next day!. Even then I wouldn't go to bed early!. I would get 3-5 hours of sleep!. The weird thing is, I NEVER really felt tired when I woke up, not even at school, and I can go to bed around the same time without any sense of sleepyness!. Is that weird!? Also, when I had to get up at 5 for school, I had no trouble getting up!. Alarm rang and BOOM! I'm in the shower!. NOW that it is summer, I go to bed when light is already out!. Is this unhealthy!? The amount of time I sleep varies, 4-12 hrs!. I just don't know what to do!. I feel like I'm in the wrong time zone and if I was living in another country, I'd probably be right on schedule :) What should I do!? What does this mean!? I want to get back on a normal schedule for once :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You pituitary gland controls your waking and sleeping cycle and I am assuming that your habits are not coordinated with the current summer time zone that you are in!. The answer to your question is to make your self develop a habit of going to bed the same time each night!. Say 10PM!. Set you alarm clock to wake you up around 6 AM so you get a constant 10 hours of sleep!.

The issue you are faced with is more hormonal and habit than some thing is wrong with you unless you have sleep apnea!. Do you snore a lot and are you excessively over weight - if so you may have sleep apnea but you question does not cover that issue!.

Briefly - develop a habit of going to bed at the same time and getting up at the same time and your body's natural clock should adjust for you!.

You're body's clock is out of whack from staying up late!. The only way to get back is to gradually push back your bed time until it is back to normal, say half hour a day!. Even if you don't feel tired, go to bed anyway!. If you have trouble getting to sleep, take a warm bath, read a book, or drink something warm like tea!. As far as how much you sleep, as long as you are feeling refreshed upon waking and not falling asleep during the day, you are probably getting enough!. Some people just need less!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
