Question: Help! My leg muscles are so sore that I can barely walk!!?
I know someone made a similar post, but I've been sore since yesterday morning, and I didn't know that I was supposed to stretch, massage, and walk!. The pain is in both of my calves and every time I take a step, it sends a shock of pain up my body!.

I took Aleve in the morning yesterday, and that did nothing!. Then last night, I took Tylonal and that had the same effect as the Aleve!. Is there any medication I can take that will get me through the day!? I have a full schedule, and I'm constantly on my feet!. I can afford any downtime!. Yesterday, I was on my feet practically all day, and my calves swelled, which made the pain 10 times worse!.

I started massaging and stretching this morning, but how long until the pain alleviates!? It all stemmed from running in place and jumping for at least an hour!.

The use of ice and stretching are your answers!. Use ice on the areas for fifteen to twenty minutes each hour!. If you have access to a whirlpool use that but again use ice in the water!. Stretching of the calves is important and needs to be done regularly!. You overloaded the legs with stress yesterday give them a day or two to recover!. Take a rolling pin and roll it over the calves as often as you get a chance or have someone massage them but not too deeply!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start with a bath as hot as you can stand it, put some epsom salts in if you have them!. After 10 minutes in the bath, get out and stetch those calves!. If you are still hurting, take advil (ibuprofin) which is an antiinflammatory and is the best medication for muscle pain!. All you can do is stretch stretch stretch!. It sounds weird, but often the best way to make muscle cramps go away is to do some more exercise at a lower intensity until your body gets used to it!. If you ran/jumped for an hour to make your muscles hurt, consider jogging for 10-15 minutes today (with stretching!!) and then jog for 20 minutes tomorrow!.
