Question: What's "wrong" with me if i don't feel physical pain!?
i don't understand the word "ouch"
i guess i have a very high tolerance for pain!.
i laugh when my friends kid around or someone tries to punch me, because they have no idea it doesn't hurt at all!.
some parts of my body i can't even feel!.!.!.
it's really no problem
i would just like to know what it is

There is a disorder like this where people DONt feel pain!.!.!.!.
it tends to be genetic and some people can have a single strand or double strand of it!.!.!.!. obviously you wouldnt have the double strand or you would be severely disabled!. I know the kids Ive seen with it are very very very disabled because they have had multiple injuries due to not being able to feel anything!.!. goughed out their eyes over and over, biten throgh their tounge, lips and numerous other severe injuries!.!. most die young or don't grow right!.!.
anywyas, ive heard ofs ome people having a lesser version of it where they do feel some pain or sensation but they still have the disorder!.!. the thing is, I cannot for the life of me, rememeber what its called!. I know there was a show on DIsocovery health I think or IFC about it about peolple that dom't feel pain!.!. I also read a book about it where the child had the double strand and the father had the single strand and he didnt even know it until the child was dsiagnosied!. The book is called The Boy who Felt no Pain and I want to say it was by a Dr Robert Marion!.!.!. anyways!.!. if this is what you have, it's a rare genetic disorder and you probably have the single strain of it but if you have kids I think they would be at risk for having the double strain of it which is really sad!.
I met one woman with it who was in a wheelchair because she couldnt walk as a result of not being able to feel the ground as it affected both touch sensation and pain sensation!.!.!.
while i deal with chronic pain and hate it, the ability to not feel pain would really suck as well!.!.!.
anyways try and find this book or show and try googling it!.!. im sure you will find the name of the disorder somewhere!.

I know like that dad who had it!.!. he grew up not kn owing he actually had this disorder because his symptoms werent severe and so untiul he had a son with the same problem but mich worse, they didnt know who had it!. The doctors did some sort of test where they gave them all some sort of hystamine and they all started itching except for him, he didnt actually feel it so they knew he was the one with the disorder!.
