Injury at work.?!

Question: Injury at work!.!?
This past saturday at work, I fell off of a ladder while attempting to remove a box from a top shelf!. An ambulance was called at I was taken to the hospital!. While no slipped disk or other "bone" injuries were revealed, I have had back, shoulder and knee pain frequently since the accident!. My employer keeps calling, wanting to know when I am returning to work!. They also are requesting a doctors note!. I have not yet seen my regular physician (I have an appt!. Thursday), but I am sure he will provide a note!. What other information should I give my employer!?!? Also, I have known people who have suffered back injuries--that literally have lasted their entire lives!. Will my employer pay for therapy to help with my back pain or other areas now in pain as a result of the accident!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your employers insurance will pay for it!. Don't make the mistake and go to their doctor and don't go to a chiropractor!. You are right that sometimes injuries like yours can disable people for life so you want to go to the best doctor you can find!.
And don't be pressured to go to a company doctor!. You have the right to seek your own medical help and the company has to pay for it!. But you really should have went to a doctor before 5 days after the accident!. That is not going to fare well if you do have a significant injury!. They may try to use the fact that you waited so long to seek medical attention against you

Your employer also employs lawyers!. You should get one too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will probably need to see the employer's Workman's Comp doctor to get his assessment of your injury that happened on the job!. Talk to your job benefits department about how they handle Workman's Comp claims!. You may need to see their doc within __ number of days!.

The work comp should cover the basic expenses of an on-the-job injury!. You might have to fight for these benefits though!. You will need to demonstrate the problems you're having right now (eg!. the back pain) was caused by this only and you didn't have a prior history of back pain!.

There is also an issue of liability!. Was the employer wrong for asking you to climb an unsafely tall ladder!? Or was the employee wrong for using a ladder which isn't normally part of his/her job to grab something that maybe they should've gotten help with!? This might be a question for an attorney!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
