If you have quit smoking, how did you do it?!

Question: If you have quit smoking, how did you do it!?
I'm looking to quit smoking soon!. I've lost 27 pounds, and I have another 13 to go before I attempt to quit smoking!. I've had success with Nicoderm CQ in the past!. What other methods are out there!. What did you do to occupy your time/mind!. What will I do on my 15 minutes breaks and lunch breaks at work!?!?!? I usually go out to smoke with coworkers!. The thought of quitting is terrifying!. I gained 20 pounds last year, and have since lost all of that and then some!. I don't want to gain weight again :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A friend of mine recently quit smoking, and she strongly recommends chewing a lot of gum!. This will keep your mouth busy and will be an excuse not to smoke a cigarette, because you are already chewing gum!. Also, find someone to confide in on your journey to quitting smoking!. This way, whenever you are tempted, or you need moral support, you can better focus on your goal!. Also, it will enforce that you need to stop smoking because you need to do it for the both of you!. If you have a family, get them involved!. You need all the support and encouragement you can get!. Find something to keep busy, like bringing a book or extra work to do in break time!.
Good luck and I hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not buying the d---ed things so that next time you want one, you won't have it!.
Buy Orbit gum, and chew on a piece next time you have the urge to put something in your mouth!.

Surf the internet, same as everyone else!.

Put less food into your mouth!. I already mentioned Orbit gum, didn't I!?

Fewer cheeseburgers!. Repeat: fewer cheeseburgers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Exercising, especially something relaxing like using a nature/bike trail, drinking lots of spring water and not drinking any caffeine whatsoever is the best way to quit in my opinion!. A Soda or Coffee would instantly make me want to smoke! I still rarely drink caffeine!.!.!. it's a gateway drug!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
