I tried everything i took sleeping pills, i tried just sitting there in the dark with lights off and no distractions, i tried soothing myself with music to get to sleep WHAT SHOULD I DO!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem!. Do you make up for your
needed sleep during the day!?

Saying, "WHAT SHOULD I DO!" in a yelling voice tells
me you are tense!. That is one reason you cannot sleep!.
You need to relax!. You can do everything you have
tried, but if you are tense, nothing will work!. You are also
frustrated by it, that will keep you awake!.
Quit worrying about it, drink some relaxing tea, and you

I can sometimes be an insomniac!. But what really helps is to distract yourself by leaving your room and read a book or drink a glass of warm milk!. I think when you're in your room and everything's dark and you still can't sleep, you start getting anxious about trying to sleep and you think too much!. You need to get your mind off of that!.

Sometimes I think about my day and reflect on different things in my life that aren't stressful and before you know it I'm asleep!. But the best way to sleep is to relax and leave your "sleeping room" and just distract yourself with other calming activities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have just answered a similar tip to AAron, on whether or not it's healthy to listen to music when going to sleep!.

If you purchase some music (meditation, or soft music), you any people can't sleep because of the brain being too active!. Try, not having coffee after 6pm, Don't eat too late into the night!. If you have a bath, have a relaxing bath just before going to bed!.

You may need to see a counsellor if you are having some depressive thoughts, but as a last resort, sleep medication can be used, but I tend not to suggest that, as it's only a band-aid affect

Deep breathing exercise just before getting down!.can also help towards a good nights sleep!. Stay away from anything too active

One main point!. Do not use Alcohol as a sleep medication!.

Sometimes your day can be so distracting and busy that it is hard to settle down to go to sleep at night, no matter how tired you are!.
I find the best way is to take a long soak in a nice hot bath, using some nice smelling relaxing bath cream!. I sometimes read too when I'm in the bath, that helps me relax!.!.!.or read a good book in bed with a mug of something warm

hmmmmm u should hv to read ny good book n listen soft music its really good n u can also try meditation n bfore sleeping u can play football n basketball after game u feel tired n u can sleep well !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For me, I find an interesting book and read in bed!. Once you take your mind off the fact that you can't sleep nature may take its course!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try reading a book on the Internal Revenue Code!. I can't read things like that and stay awake!. I think that's why I'm no longer an accountant!.
