yes it works for both and is best taken every 6 to 8 hours for ongoing relief while the problem persist but once gone do not continue to take motrin long term!. it can damage your liver and other organs long term use!. though when sick headache fever muscle pain ect it works wonders if properly used!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Motrin 800 is a bit strong for someone your age!. You should take it only under the direction of a doctor since long term use can adversely effect your liver!. I would think that Tylenol should be used instead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
