Sleep paralysis??!

Question: Sleep paralysis!?!?
I've experienced sleep paralysis a lot in the past few months, and i'm always scared to go to sleep now because i'm so terrified of it happening again!. it scares me how realistic it is, & the last time it happend a couple weeks ago, there was a dead body lying on me, & i obviously couldn't move, or do anything about it, & when i woke up my heart was beating so fast, as if i had been holding my breath!. my question is, is it possible that it affected my breathing!? or was my heart beat just increased due to fear!? & is there a reason that it happends so frequently to me, and is there a way to prevent it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

In studies, sleeping on your side seemed to help avoid the episodes of sleep paralysis!. The paralysis is normal, it happens so you don't act out your dreams, so basically, everyone experiences it, it's just that you're waking up during that stage of sleep!. This does not affect your heart or breathing, it's the fear that does that, so rest assured (pardon the pun) that your regular body functions are working properly!.

Every culture has the same experience, the panic of not being able to move, and the feeling, sensation, or sight of a threatening type figure!. I know it's scary, I've had it too!.

You're probably going through an active dream stage, I'll get it for a few weeks or so, then!.!.!.!.!.no dreams!. Or at least they are not so vivid or remembered!.

When this does happen, remind yourself that you can still move your eyes, still breath, and that it will pass in about three minutes!. Stay calm as you can!. In time, you kind of get control of it, not stopping it, but aware of the process!. Best of luck to you and sweet dreams!!!!

PS!. This isn't scientific, but when I'm going through a stage of dreaming/sleep episodes, my intuition is usually stronger too!. I think it's the connection between the conscious and unconcious that heightens it!. Not a bad side effect!.!.!.!.!.!.!.:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

How can you prevent sleep paralysis!? Probably in the same way one strives to prevent other sleep problems!. Practice good sleep hygiene and avoid stressful situations!. For some people this may not be possible however, so instead let's look at ways to escape from the grip of sleep paralysis!.

The best remedy is to will yourself to move, even if it's only the wiggling of your little finger!. This is often sufficient to break the spell!. If you can manage, it, scream! Your roommate may not appreciate it, but it's better than suffering through a long and fear-filled episode!. If all else fails, seek professional help!. There are drugs that can help you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This used to occur to me when I was in my 20s!. It is a very frightening phenomenon!. It was as if I were truly awake and could hear people talking around me even though there was no one in the house!. I would eventually tell myself to relax, relax!. The more I fought it it would get worse!. Some years later I was diagnosed with Complex Partial Seizures!. After being treated for the seizures I never had them again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow thats a bit next level!.!.

I experience waking up but being unable to move or call out!. I used to be able to freak out had enough that I could wake myself up with mad heart pounding,
A couple of times I managed to just lay there and not fight it and it was really cool!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're having what is called "night terrors!." It might not hurt to bring this up to your physician and get in to see a specialist!. It may be caused from diet, drug reaction, or chemical imbalance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
