The recommendation is R!.I!.C!.E!.

Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation

Yes, taking Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) will help reduce the inflammation and pain, but you have to Rest to let the muscle heal!. Ice the area for 20 minutes until the skin is numb to the touch!. Do this every hour for the first 2 days!. Compression, a light elastic wrap to keep the area from swelling and getting more damaged!. Elevation, well, for a groin injury, good luck!.

This is what the Physical Therapists recommend as homecare to help a muscle/tendon injury heal as quickly as possible!. If your doctor will refer you to for therapy, the clinic has some additional things that can help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Motrin and Advil are good but I suggest Ivy Profin!. When I have an injury I take that!. I take 3 pills cause im big but 2 would do it for the average person!. I also take 3 before all my football games!. It helps me a lot!. Stretch it, its gonna suck really bad but it helps!. Pulling the groin really sucks, ive hurt it a few times but never pulled it!. Good luck!

Also, ice it!. 20 minutes on 40 minutes off!. Do it for a few days, ice cures injuries very quickly!. Heat works too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
