Question: Could I get a blood clot!?!?
I'm so paranoid!. I just read a question similar to this and it got me thinking!.!.!.!.
I'm 20, I've been on birth control for 3 years!. I'm not over weight, I weigh 120 lbs!. BUT I do smoke!.!.!.****HOWEVER*** I'm REALLY trying to quit!. I've cut back to 7 a day!.
Do you think I could get a blood clot!.!.!.

Yes, you are at an increased risk for a blood clot! With that said, however, you are very young, and the older you are the more the risk!. Usually over 35 you really have to worry!. I will tell you this though, I used to smoke ( for 7 years until I was 21) I am now 39, and have been smoke free for a LONG time :) You know they now have patches which I've heard GREAT things about!. SO!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I know you are on the road to quitting, but until you do!.!.!.!.know there are little helpers out there to help you quit, and you are young!.!.!.!.so relax!. ALSO, you can pull your toes back toward your head, and if you do not feel any pain, this is called the negative Homan's sign!. The Homan's sign checks for blood clots in your lower legs, which is the most common place for them!. Hope this helps!.!.!.!.!.stop worrying, and do what it takes to get healthy!. of course theres a risk for women who smoke and use the birth control pill!.!.!.!.but the risk is much higher for women 35 years and older!.!.!.im a smoker and have asked my doctor several times for birth control!.!.!.she will not give it to me !.!.!.she said there is to much of a high risk for blood clots and im 33 years old!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
birth control can cause blood clots!. yes, it is possible!. for smokers, the risk is higher!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
