WHY cant I go to sleep at night???!


Question: WHY cant I go to sleep at night!?!?!?
no matter how early I get up in the morning, I cant go to sleep before @ 1:30 am
I was up at 6am this morning- busy all day, & I cant sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi- I had this exact same thing, i would be yawning and yawning and wouldn;t fall asleep, I found that I was stressing myself out of falling asleep, as i would look at the clock and say It is midnight and I am still awake, I took my clock out of my room and I set my alarm on my mobile which i put at the end of my room so i cant look at, once i did this and broke the Habit (cause that is what it is a habit) i was falling asleep quicker!.
Give it a go or even just cover up your clock or move it so you cant see the time on it!.
I would also find that of a night i would think about my job (sad but true) I would think about all the things i had to do the next day, so i bought a diary and before i fell asleep i would write everythind down, somthing so simple worked!.
It is a case of trial and error, you have to find what works for you!.
If all else fails go and see your Docotr or a naturopath for some sleeping meds!.

maybe you are a night person, and is more energetic at night, but if you can't adapt yourlife to it, wich is very difficult in our society, than theres one thing you can do thats a sure shot!. Get tired, then you can rest!. Get your body worn out and you will sleep better than babies do!. Theres a movie with Danny De Vitto and Penelope Cruz where he advises the guy to run till getting very tired and fall asleep!. If we were all farmers, nobody would have trouble sleeping!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same thing and Its not so much that I can't go to sleep cuz i have stress, since I don't, but its just i wish i could keep doing my things and both not get tired, or waste a day!.!.!.!.

When i finally do go to sleep, I either gota be tired and worn out in some way, or really, really, really have to be early somewhere!. I guess i don't like wasting a day or feeling like i did, lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to be able to relax your mind!. I am guessing you have racing thoughts, and cannot sleep because of them!. I your say to read for a while before bed, and/or learn to meditate to clear your mind!. If your insomnia persists, you may need a medication!. I wont suggest a narcotic like Valium at first though!. Something called Atarax perhaps can help!. It is an antihistamine/sedative that is a non narcotic, but only available through prescription!. It helps with anxiety and to some extent depression as well!. But try the meditation!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There could be several factors affecting sleeping habits!. If you have a lot on your mind, this will definitely affect sleeping!. Also, maybe light and noise affects you, you could try putting the eye cover over your eyes!. If all else fails, I recommend going to see a doctor, the doctor could prognose you may have a sleeping disorder!. You may get prescription sleeping pills, which may help your situation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A difficult problem - intense physical activity helps!.Don't get hooked on some pills - they only cause more problems later on !. Perhaps you don't need all that much sleep!.Eliminate stress from your daily life if you can!. My problem is the other way around - I wake up at 4 AM no matter what!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try changing your diet, and exercise, you said you were busy all day!. You can be busy and still not burn enough energy!. If your mind is just too busy, try meditation to clear your mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might have something called delayed sleep phase syndrome!. Go to wikipedia and search to see if the article describes you!. Of course you could just enjoy going to bed late :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Could possibly be insomnia!.!.!. but it would depend on what else you're experiencing or what else could cause you to lose sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
