Question: Can a neurologist really be of much help !?
I have already had a CT and the result came back - stroke!.
There are 4 more tests scheduled - Brain Scan, Neck Scan, EEG and a Nerve Study!.
I feel like it's a waste of time!.

It isn't a waste!.!.!.
I know the test are a pain but they are checking to see if you have more blood clots that can cause additional strokes as well as see the extent of the damage and see what sort of nerve damage you might have to see what sort of therapy you need to help improve the after effects of the stroke!.
It's good that they are doing these test and are not just sending you on home like some doctors do especialy as people get a bit older!.
sounds like you have a doctor that cares and hope you have some good news from the test in terms prognosis!.

a neurologist has his own style of diagnosis from his angle, which we can't question!.
u may give full details of ur problem[s], so that we can guide U to see which super-specialist!.

no !.!. it is a very good idea, my 3 three year old suffered a TBI almost a year ago and they have done numerous ct scans, they want to see the progress!. Like in your case, they want to know what is the likely hood of u having another stroke!?!? They are going to try and see what they could do to prevent that from happenning ! They probably want to see if you have any blocked arteries!. To prevent further strokes the medical profession usually put you on blood thinners like coumadin and plavix, etc!. Physical therapy is a good idea!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, it's not a waste of time!. You should be treated by a neurologist for a stroke!. Get the rest of your tests and take care of your health, which isn't a waste of time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
