Question: I get dehydrated because i dont drink enough water but im not thirsty to begin with!.!.!.!?
a few months ago, i noticed that ive been getting headaches that wont go away!. i never feel thirsty so i dont drink a lot!. the only drinks i like are high-calorie or sugary drinks!. i get tired of drinking water cause theres no flavor!.

is there any other way i can get hydrated!?
would avoiding saly foods help, since salt absorbs water!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm also a bit of a bugger when it comes to drinking enough water, so I know where your coming from!.
But the interesting thing to note is that by the time you feel thirsty, then you're already dehydrated - which isn't good!.

Your body is made up of approximately 70% water, and it needs to stay hydrated to function properly!. You lose water in many ways!. Through your urine and faeces, skin, breathing, just as examples!.

As you have discovered headaches are one of the ways that your body will react to dehydration!. Others are through urine and skin infections, dry skin - means heaps more wrinkles when you age, and low blood pressure!. There are more, but you get the idea!.

I have found that the best way for me to stay hydrated is to carry a water bottle with me all the time!. I also don't like just plain water, so I squeeze a bit of lemon or lime juice in!.
Keep sipping all day, and you'll get through quite a lot of water !.

The best way to get yourself to drink more is to drink more!
Sounds silly I know but you have to force yourself to drink because you have killed your natural thirst by not drinking!.
Once you start drinking water regularly you natural thirst will come back!. I don't drink enough water either (way too much coffee) and I get extremely strong and painful cramps in my legs and feets from dehydration!. Believe me you don't want this!. I keep a jug on my desk and a glass of water by my bed and force myself to drink as much as I can!. It doesn't take

You can try other things to drink for example lemonade , life water, or vitamin water!.
Drink fluids is the only way to get hydrated!.
You can try not eating as many salty food, but I am not sure if that will work!.

I would try to drink more fluids if not your blood pressure will drop and you may develop vertigo!. So I would push fluids if I were you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Salt doesn't really help with hydration!. Are you sure your headaches are caused by dehydration anyway!? Headaches can be caused by thousands of things, and common causes include lots of computer use or reading, stress, lack of sleep, caffeine, alcohol!.!.!. well, lots of things!.

By the way, that notion that you're supposed to get eight glasses of water a day is a myth!.

How bad are your headaches!? Where do they start!? What type of pain are they - throbbing, pressure!? Do you have any other symptoms with them!?

i get bad migraines have been since i was 8 and in my teen years i noticed they were worse and like you i liked high calorie and sugary drinks!. primarily soda!.

TOO MUCH caffine and sugary drinks can trigger the headaches!. as my doctor told me once i stopped the high intake the migraines werent as bad!.

like you i hate water it is boring!. so i drink propel it's like juice but really water!.

but in reality the best way to hydrate yourself is drinking 8 classes of water a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Drink and push the liquids!. You have got to stay away from the sugary stuff!.
