Should I take her to the emergency room for stitches?!

Question: Should I take her to the emergency room for stitches!?
My 9 year old daughter cut two of her toes today at summer camp!. I cleaned both wounds and bandaged them, but on of the cuts is continuing to bleed, it is about one inch wide and it looks somewhat deep!. She is complaining that it burns, I'm not sure what to do!?!?!? Any help would be appreciated!. Especially if you have any experience in the medical field!. Thank you in advance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's an inch long and on her foot, i'd say take her for stitches because she can get so many different types of bacteria on her feet!. If u decide not to, then try some steri strips, they're little tape strips to hold the wound together!. Make sure to clean it good with an anticeptic like alcohol or peroxide at least twice daily!. Keep it covered only for a couple days though(bandaid) because if it's covered too long it won't dry out and heal very fast!. Also put antibacterial ointment on it when u clean it!. Either way, if it's in an akward place it may not heal properly or fast without stitches!. Also, you need to seriosly think about if she may or may not need a tetanus shot!. They last like 10 yrs!. Just my two cents!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, it is always better to be on the safe side!. It might be too late at this point to get stitches, but that would also depend on the severety of the cuts!. Do you know what she cut them on!? Had she had a tetnus shot!? If not, she should probably have one and maybe make sure the wounds are cleaned really well!. It's really just a judgement call!. I would have to see them to determine if I would take my kids to the ER for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go for stitches!. You also may want to get her a tetanus shot if the doctor suggests it, usually you do them every ten years I believe!. The foot is too prone to germs and it is used to bear the weight of the body so you should have her checked and see about stitches !.!.!. maybe give her a dose of tylenol or ibuprofen to help her feel more comfortable in the meanwhile!. Best of luck to you :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

well,my lil sis a couple of years ago had to get stitches one night because she scraped her shin against a sharp bedpost end!.it left a gash about one inch wide and it continued to bleed!.and it was pretty deep!.!.!.!.I suggest that you do take her to the E!.R!. and have stitches put in!.!.!.!.just don't panic or anything in front of her!.!.!.!.TRUST ME!!! I started shouting out stupid stuff in front of my sis like "Oh my god!!is she gonna die!!?!!?" !.
she freaked out and was screaming!.!.!.!.!.
so yeah!.!.!.!.
don't do that!!!.!.

haha

good luck for you and your daughter!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i don't have any experience with mediacal stuff but, i think you should bring her to the hospital!. Letting her bleed is not really gonna do anything but make her suffer!. GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you should!. Since they are on toes, that are moving the cuts will keep breaking open again and again and will take forever to heal otherwise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Off to the emergency room you go! Now! The last thing your daughter needs is a sepsis because of an infected wound!. Deep cuts like that should always be treated by a professional!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take her to an urgent care clinic!. Then contact Child Protective Services and tell them you posted this question to the internet before getting medical help for her, and see what they think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Use anti-septic, bandage it with sterile bandages, and if it's still bleeding after fifteen minutes, take her somewhere!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, take her to be evaluated!. They may be able to close the wound without stitches using dermal glue or Steri-strips!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes she needs stitches!. too bad they dont make people take intelligence tests before becoming parents!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yea just go get stitches for her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if its bleeding for more than a couple of hrs, yeaWww@Answer-Health@Com

I do not have medical experience but I do have a sibling that has experienced a number of wounds!. If its an inch wide and somewhat deep - it sounds like she is a perfect candidate for stitches!. Depending on how long ago the cuts happened it may be too late, but the doctor can help you decide that!. If it is too late the doctor will apply butterfly stiches which is really just a band-aid!. Scarring isn't an issue - but a poorly healed wound on the foot can be troublesome for your daughter!. Unfortunately without looking at it I can't tell if saying it "burns" is just a 9 year olds attempt to describe what a pretty serious cut feels like or if there is something in the cut!.
She should go to the doctor - cuts can get infected!.
You should also contact the summer camp and get them to cover any out of pocket expenses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
