What would happen if a Third Degree burn is left untreated ?!

Question: What would happen if a Third Degree burn is left untreated !?
I was outside on Memorial Day fully dressed in shorts and a top, reading for an hour and a half!. The sun burned through my black shorts and I have been being treated for a Third Degree burn on my entire abdomen!.
They want to do a skin graft on Thursday taking the skin off my front left thigh!. I would appeciate an answer from a medical professional to tell me what would happen if I choose to not do this!. What would occur !? The area now is leathery and white with a deep red rim surrounding!.

Thank you,

Though everyone seems to think it's "impossible" to get a third degree burn from the sun!.!.!.!.!. I am proof for God's sake!. Lord, I guess this was the wrong place to post the question and never mind as I am getting the surgery as I did my own research and know that without the surgery it means infection and death!.
Now to offer up proof of the burn, I have a photo should any of you need to view what my plastic surgeon "top in the field" might I add has deemed it "Third Degree Burn!.!.!.!.!." and " DUE TO SUN"!.
Don't tell me this can't happen !!!!! It did and I'm it!. Put that down in your medical books and not for nothing guys!.!.!.!.!. how about keeping an open mind!. It was 91 degrees outside that day, I was wearing black, I have no sensation in my stomach coupled with RSD which I know you know nothing about because the better portion of doctors and medical staff who have a true understanding of it is very limited due to it's nature so that is no slam to you, it's just fact it's little understood by medical professionals!.
So for you curiosity seekers who want a photo just let me know!. It wasn't frostbite, it wasn't fire, it wasn't chemical or liquid of any sort!.!.!.!.!. it WAS THE SUN!.!.!.!.!.!.
No one else needs to reply to the question I asked!. I have my answers and not for nothing!.!.!. thanks for the lack of compassion, not one person stated they were sorry to hear it had happened at all!. That's today's humanity for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have to be honest with you, your question makes no sense!. You can't get a third degree sunburn!. First or second, yes- that's the red skin and blisters!. Third degree burns are full thickness skin burns with charring!. You describe leathery white skin with a red rim surrounding- which is not a burn injury!. Frozen, perhaps- not burnt!. You also would not have been burned that badly through black shorts!. As far as not treating a true third degree burn, likely the result would be a systemic infection and death, if the area is as large as what you claim it to be!. You would certainly not be in any condition to be typing at a computer!. If there is more to this story than you are telling, and you want answers, I suggest you tell it!. What you write so far makes no sense at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If left untreated, a 3rd degree burn would get badly infected, the infection would spread into your bloodstream, and if that is left untreated, you will end up with an extremely high fever (104+) and quite possibly die!.
There is no way an untreated 3rd degree burn wouldn't get infected, due to the size and severity!.
Get the skin graft!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The description you give of your skin, as well as the events leading up to the burn does not sound like a third degree burn, but since you say you have already been treated for it, and that a skin graft was recommended, I'll answer your question about untreated 3rd degree burns!.

A third degree burn is also called a "full-thickness" burn, meaning that ALL layers of skin were burned!. Third degree burns are usually treated immediately, because the risk of infection is so great!. If left untreated, your body is extremely susceptible to infection - after all, your skin exists to protect your body from foreign bodies, and is now compromised enough that it cannot do this!. The kinds of infection you can get are numerous, and could lead to death!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
