Answers:
Wikipedia says the most likely cause of this noise is due to cavitation, "small cavities of partial vacuum form in the fluid then rapidly collapse, producing a sharp sound!."

Sounds reasonable to me!. Hopefully the noises aren't too loud and/or painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

creptidis!.!.!. spelling might be off there!.!.!.

whatever the case, it's just increased movement in an area that hasnt moved and sometimes the little lumps, often called trigger points are bits of mineral and stuff that gets collected there when we are very tense!. Those areas, esp in the neck and shoulder are high tension areas and the cracking is often air moving between the joints!.

The little knots are from tensing your muscles hwen stressed and not stretching enough !.!.!.!. most of us have this issue and don't stretch enough!. It's good they dissapate easily!.

The only time one should be concerned about cracking is when it is really intense and painful or grinding in sound!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The cause is fibromyalgia , it is also the most common cause of pain in women and men!.
