Question: Can my neck be sore and stiff because of cold air blowing on me while i sleep!?!?
i've been sleeping with the airconditioner on and i'll wake up with my neck stiff and sore!. is this the cause;; or is this because of allergies;; which i dont really get!?!? I've also been sleeping on the couch while the A/C has been on (another cause!?!?)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stiff and Sore Neck probably from sleeping on a couch depending on how well you "fit" or don't "fit" on it, the pillow you used or didn't use, and how well you were or weren't able to move around on the sofa during your sleep!.
Strange as it may seem, cold air can actually cause pain in sensitive people!. An orthopedic surgeon once told me that cold air acts upon the nerves on the skin and can make them send transmissions of "pain" to the brain!. I was seeing him for arthritic wrists!. Once I stopped letting them get cold, some of my symptoms went away!. I always noticed (since a kid) that my left knee would hurt something fierce if I didn't cover it at night and it got cold for whatever reason!. So, try sleeping on a decent sized bed with a good pillow and open up the windows instead of running the a/c all night long!. If you must run the a/c at least get off the sofa!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
