Answers:
Try a heating pad and prop her legs up while lying down!. If she can take advil try that!. You can buy those pain patches at Walmart or the Dollar store!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A few years ago I was having problems with my left leg going numb and also leg pain!. I had been spending a lot of time sitting down, so I just figured that that was the main problem!. When I tried to stand or walk it was so bad that all I wanted to do was sit!. It was an endless cycle!.

I went to an orthopedic doctor who gave me celebrex----didn't work!. So then he did a nerve study---nothing (very painful procedure as they put needles into many points in you body)!. He couldn't find a doggone thing wrong with me!. Finally, I just started googling this and that and I came up on "B vitamins!." I thought that maybe I had a deficiency of b-12 and put myself on a daily B-12 and I got better!. I also started taking walnut oil for the selenium--a tablespoon alone or in a salad(found it at Target, but grocery stores like Albertson's carry it as well--check by the olive oil!.) The selenium is for the inflammation, which is one big component of pain!. Whenever my leg feels numb I eat a banana or something with potassium!. My leg pain did go away and now I'm pretty much back to normal!. I'm on a no nightshade diet as well for my arthritis (which is basically pain caused by inflammation and can include inflammation) so I stay away from foods with solanasce which has been shown to contribute to sensitive people's pain (white potatoes, tomatos, eggplant, blueberries, pork, bell and hot peppers---in pure form and all their by products like ketchup) Eventually, I also gave up red meat in all forms as it has hydro--again I'm sorry, but I can't recall the name, but it is an acid that can cause pain!. I use ground turkey and chicken instead of hamburger now!.

At first it was a drag, but being medicine free and pain free is well worth it!. Celebrex was $100!.00 a bottle and in the long run would have killed me (doctor 'overlooked' my allergy)!. I hope some of this helps!. Also, make sure she keeps her legs warm!. Cold makes the skin nerves transmit the message of "pain" to the brain!.

And have her take it easy on the caffeine it is a diuretic and takes water away from the muscles which can cause pain!. I stay away from all drinks with artificial sweetners--like flavored waters, diet drinks, which contain a chemical (starts with a "P" pheny--something can't remember it sorry, but there is always a warning when it is in something Sam's (Wal-mart) flavored water has it) which can also lead to aches and pains!.

When I was having my leg and arthritis problems I started investigating my diet!. All the doctors I asked dismissed it as do some people I mention all this too, but I know that I feel 100% better now than before so I stick to it AND I tell everyone in pain to evaluate their diet and start there!.

Have her eat chicken, rice and veggies and drink water for a week so she can start detoxifying her body!. Then add stuff like turkey, sweet potatos!. Try the B-12 supplement!. Onions and garlic are anti-inflammatory as well!. Just don't overdo the amounts or her blood will thin out too much and please make sure that if she is taking any medicines right now that you google them to find out what types of foods she should stay away from that may cause an adverse effect!. Poultry and rice are pretty good foods at not having adverse effects or reactions with medications!.

I really hope your mom feels better!. Being in pain really stinks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
