When to change bandages?!
Question: When to change bandages!?
I got staples in my wrist yesterday, and was wondering how often I change the dressing and clean my wound!.
I was feeding my cat canned food and it was so hard to open that I sliced my wrist about two and a half inches long, a half inch wide, and a quarter of an inch deep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if nothing during the day disturbs or contaminates the dressing, twice a day should be fine; once in the morning and once in the evening!.
You can do it more frequently if the tape is irritating your skin, the dressing gets dirty, wet or disturbed, or if the wound is discharging some white or red blood cells that are soaking through the dressing!.
I recommend polysporin (polysporin complete if the pain is irritating you) and individually wrapped sterile cotton gauze dressing!. the polysproin will stop and prevent any infection,and the vitamin E in it will condition the skinn to heal quickly and without scarring!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
