Boil...Staph...OUCH!?!
Question: Boil!.!.!.Staph!.!.!.OUCH!!?
So i asked a question the other day about having a spider bite and getting it checked yada yada yada!. well it got so bad i could barely walk so i went to the hospital it turned out to be a bad boil!. it was also a staph infection too!. the whole thing was VERY painful!. so they cut it open pushed all of the nastiness out and packed it and wrapped it!. next day had to go back they did the same thing!. today was supposed to go back so they could do it again but couldnt get a ride so i did it myself minus the PACKING because i have nothing to pack it with!. my question to anyone who has had this exact situation (as far as boil w/ staph) how long are you supposed to pack it!?!.!.!.!.and by packing i mean sticking the bandages in the deep hole

No no no no no!.!. You need to keep it packed (sterile cotton/gauze) AND you keep packing it until they heal!. You really need to go back in!. People die/lose limbs from staph infections!. Go back in and then ask the doctor for instructions to care for it at home!. My sister did this for over 2 weeks!. Not sure about the size of your wound!. It is especially prone to reinfection right now!. Go to the doctor!. Take the bus if you have to!.

I had the same thing last year!. They should have given you antibiotics!. You should keep it packed until you run through the course of antibiotics!. A hot bath with epsom salts will help draw out the infection if you are unable to pack it!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First use an antibacterial soap and wash the area with water, then use peroxide that will boil out the germs etc!. then use an ointment Like bacterin for example to help heal or you could ask the druggist what would be best to use!. There are also salves that will kill the staph infection!. Are you on antibiotics!?
Can't you see a Dr!. !? If it gets a red streak or you run a fever or have a high temperature you must see a Dr!. immediately!.
As for wrapping it you could find a band aid or bandage large enough to cover it that should be fine!. They make band aids to fight infections as well!. You may need a tetanus shot too!.
