I, too, have suffered from bruxism (tooth grinding at night) and the headaches are a definite part of it--just look in any medical book or web page!. Here's an example of how it works!. Put you fingers on each temple on either side of your head!. Now grind your teeth for a few seconds!. Feel those temple bones grinding, too!? Now imagine them rubbing all night--that's where the headache comes from!. As others have said, the treatment is not scary or painful!. You dentist will simply make you a special mouth guard to wear at night that prevents grinding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The grinding of teeth is called bruxism and i have suffered from this for years!. I began grinding my teeth in my sleep due to stress and i only realised i was doing it when I began getting blinding headaches during the day!. The 2 are most definitely connected!. I saw my dentist and had a gum shield made and the headaches have stopped!. Sometimes i still wake up with a bit of jaw ache but the shield prevents me doing any damage!.

Please try and see your dentist and get it sorted as the headaches will not stop until the bruxism is sorted!.

Hope that helps,

All the best!.

The grinding of teeth could be causing the headaches, yes, or there could be another reason!. Some people grow out of teeth grinding (I did) while others visit their doctors for a fix!. Don't worry, there's no surgery involved!! They have a special retainer that you wear until the grinding habit is broken!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes the reason you have headaches are because you grind your teeth!. I've done this for years and have often woken my mum up who sleeps on the otherside of the (thick) wall!. I notice I do it when I'm especially tired!. My dentist told me to get a teeth guard to protect em but I just pull it out in the night so no longer bother!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
