What is a good brace for shin splints?!

Question: What is a good brace for shin splints!?
I play volleyball, and last year I was out for half of our season due to really bad shin splints!. After our school season, I played travel volleyball and just taped my shins for every practice and every game!. Now our school season has started back, and I'm looking for a brace that provides good compression and helps relieve the pain!. Does anyone know of a good brand or type of brace that works really well!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ah, good ol' shin splints!. I had them for four years, and tried many different braces!. There's a lot of different types of brace, and which one will help depends a lot on where/how your shins hurt!. I listed some links; check those out, maybe print pictures off and show them to your doctor (or just ask which one he/she thinks is best)!. The best advice I got was to pick a brace that does what the tape does when you tape your shins!.

Of course, your best bet is to just get your shin splints to go away, which I know is WAY easier said than done!. Ice (twice a day), rest (nothing that makes them hurt), and ibuprofen!.

The link is to a gymnastics website; even though gymnastics isn't your sport, the braces can still help!. I've ordered stuff off this website before, and it's very reliable!. Within gymnastics circles, this store is known as one of the best!. The white "Cho Pat" sleeve I've seen in places like sporting goods stores and even some drug stores, but the beige neoprene wrap I've only seen online!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A sugar-tong splint is a recommended splint for these type of injuries!. It looks just like it sounds!. Not like a casting, but a hard plastic protector!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
