Question: My mom is in severe pain from having her ruptured disc surgery (anterior cervical discectomy!.)!?
She's crying and I feel powerless!. Anyone with experience please help! when will her pain subside!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah the pain from the surgery will do that!. The first thing I would do is call her doctor!. Normally they would have given her enough pain medication that it would hurt but not to the point of making her cry!. Here are a few sites that may help her!. Not so much now but as she recovers!.

Also if she doesn't already have one tell her to ask her doctor for a Alpine brace!. It will help her a lot and is far more comfortable since she is going to be in it for at least 4-6 weeks!.
But if she is having serious pain that the pain meds are not at least making the pain bearable you should call her doctors service tonight or first thing in the morning!. She should be getting something like 10/500 hydrocodone!. And that won't take away all the pain but it should be controlling it enough that she isn't in so much pain!.
She is going to be pretty uncomfortable for about a week,, but assure her it will get better!. If she just got out of the hospital in the last few days have her try to sleep kind of sitting up,,like in a lazy boy chair!. It will help isolate her neck and it is a lot easier to sleep like that!.
If they cut her throat, or in the front, make sure nothing is oozing out of it or that it's not swollen!. If it is get her to a doctor very soon!.
And bless you for helping your Mom!. It's a pretty serious operation and I'm sure she is a little scared!.

I'm so sorry to here what your moms going through, pain is apart of the healing process, while at the same time can be very heart wrenching to witness, especially when its someone you love, No I don't know of anyone with that condition, but I can suggest that maybe you can call and speak to her Doctor and find out some things you could do for her at home to make it more comfortable for her until her pain subsides!. If she's in a hospital, didn't they give her any pain meds!? She needs to call an ambulance if she's not in a hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
