I got my blood taken for several issues!. The nurse took about 7 vials of blood!. I got a HUGE nasty bruise and I've had it for almost 2 weeks!. Will it ever go away!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It will go away!. The main reason you get bruising from blood being drawn is a small rupture in your vein, or bleeding under the skin after the blood is drawn!. It's common that although the vein stops bleeding out of the puncture hole, it still could bleed slightly under your skin causing the bruising!.

Some people tend to bruise more easily than others!. Next time you have blood drawn, be sure that you apply immediate pressure for a few minutes to the site!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eventually it will resolve itself, just keep an eye on it!. As long as it looks like a normal bruise it should be fine!.
Apparently the vein seeped a bit under your skin!. Happens all the time, but not usually HUGE bruises!. Then again, seven vials is a lot to draw!.
If you are terribly upset about it, give Doc a call and get some reassurrance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it will, it just takes time!. more time than normal bruises just because you drew so much blood from the same site!. i had one for about that time as well, but i have a weird obsession with bruises so i liked it!.!.!. haha!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will go away!. Its very common for bruising after blood is taken, especially large amounts of it!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
