Question: Severely Sprained Ankle!.!?
I sprained my ankle when landing on someones foot playing basketball!. It was about three months ago but I can still feel it in my achillies tendon and the front of my ankle!. It feels really tight!. What can I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably pulled some tendons and/or ligaments!. Unfortunately they don't heal unless you fully stay off of them!. If you plan on doing that, than great!. I'm assuming you'd prefer to continue to do regular exercise and be out and about so my suggestion is ice and heat!. It's not the most fun, but it does help! At night, or after a workout, ice your ankle for 20 minutes!. After that, take the ice off and keep off for 10 minutes!. Then, get a heating pad and heat your ankle for 20 minutes!. Do this 3 times with ice and 3 times with the heat!. The ice will help keep any swelling down - the heat will allow your ankle to loosen up so it doesn't feel so tight!. If you do this for a couple of weeks straight I can guarentee you it will start feeling better!. Ankle injuries are a b*tch!Www@Answer-Health@Com
