Its all about the blood flow, your ankles have blood going through it twice (going down to the toes, then back up towards the heart) and the skin around the ankle is almost always exposed and usually has really delicate skin around it in comparison to your arm or leg which probably makes it easier for the mosquito to feast upon your blood!. !.
