Question: How long does it take for a sprained ankle to heal!?
It isn't swelling and I'm not walking not on it and I'm icing it down!. I also have it elevated and wrapped tightly in bandages!. My ankle hurts when i walk on it!. Does anyone think I'll be able to go to the beach!. Should I go to the doctor to make sure I didn't twist my ankleWww@Answer-Health@Com

Not very long!. The healing process for a sprained joint in the human body is actually quite fast!. About three days and maybe even less if you take it easy for the next few days!. Also I would recommend Tylenol Pain Relief if you have any discomfort!. And a doctor would only recommend rest plenty of fluids most importantly though rest so that the body can start the natural healing process!. Don't go to the doctor too often because the doctor has other patients to attend to that is likely in a worse condition while your treatment can be continued at home!. You could go to the beach and start tanning but the ONE thing that you CAN'T do is swim!.
Mostly it depends on your overall health and recuperative injuries but we are not talking about a wound here so your best bet would be to try and stay off that leg!. It is not dangerous to go to the beach but I would recommend not to !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that doesn't sound serious if you can walk on it, you will be able to go to the beach!. You don't really need to go to the doctor for a 1st degree sprain, because all they will tell you is to do what you are doing: rest, elevate your foot, bandage it, and ice it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i got one in march!. i kept playing my football game, and didn't rest it the next day - now every so often it hurts, so rest it properly now and in a few days it will be great and good for the rest of your lifeWww@Answer-Health@Com
