Neck pain and tingling sensations?!
Question: Neck pain and tingling sensations!?
I have been diagnosed with herniated disks (C5-C6) in my neck!. I may have to go for Cervical Fusion but am trying to find an alternative!. My question is!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
Is it normal to get tingling sensations on my face, scalp, neck and shoulders because of this problem I am having!?
Its getting worse and worse as the days go on!.
Any suggestions!?

the tingling comes from nerve entrapment, pressure, etc!.!.!.!. it's definately related!.!.!.!. the inflammation in the neck puts further pressure on the nerves which causes tingling along the nerves!.!.!.!.!.
does traction help any!?!?!? or is it to dangerous!? If you haqvent had it done!.!.!. ask a PT!.!.!.!. i have had been in a traction device in PT and it helps to relieve pain and nerve issues through decompression however with herniation, that might not be an option!.!.!.!.!. theyu also have use-at-home traction devices too but again, dont know if thats an option for you!.!.!.
thats a horrible fusion but thats a terrible place to have herniation and nerve issues too!.!.!.!.
In terms of the nerve tingling!.!. sometimes they use antiseizure or neuropathic type meds to help that like neurontin, lyrica, cymbtalta, but ussualy thats when there is pain too!.!.!.!. the tingling is really due to the nerve entrapment, pressure!.!.!.!.
