6 shots in one appointment?!
Question: 6 shots in one appointment!?
I HATE shots! I know pretty much everyone does but I am really scared of them! I have to go to the doctor next week and get a lot of them!. I have to get tentus, chicken pox(2), gardasil (3), meningtitis, hepititus a (2), and hepititus b (3)!. I know the ones that have more than one I will have to go back and get but that is still a lot of shots!. 6 I think!. What can i do to make it hurt less!? Will they do them all in the same arm or will they have to use both and maybe my butt!? I am sooooooo scared please help me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing to do is just too look away and relax your arms!. They will definately use both arms and I wouldn't be surprised if they used your leg or your hips(butt)!. It shouldn't hurt much more that way and is less painful than doing them all in one or both arms!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
With that many shots they should use different sites!. You don't have to get all those shots done in one day!. The shots are given so that the body can build a resistance to that particular diease!. In my opinion as a nurse I believe it's to many vaccinations for one visit!. I suggest they do 2 at the most!. I personally don't believe it's safe either!. You can have an adverse reaction to the vaccines!. Some vaccines contain mercury and it's hard to tell which ones!. It would not be a good idea for you to take in a lot of mercury from that many vaccines!. Sorry but I would print this response out and give it to your mom to read!. Ask her to consider having the doctor space out the vaccinations!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It helps if you don't look!.!.!. I hate needles, too, and had to get one every few months, and I just didn't like 'em!.!.!.!. But, I didn't look, and just took a deep breath, and when I felt the pinch of the needle, I would slowly breathe out!. The trick is to not tense your muscles!. Tensing the muscles is a lot of what makes it hurt a lot!. Just relax the muscles in your body, breathe deeply, and don't watch!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
OMG!. Take a xanex or a few drinks before you go!. I hate needles too!.!.!.!.I had to go for hypnosis for that phobia!.
Beware of that Giardasil shot!.!.!.it's been leaving women paralyzed!.!.!.!.definately Google it before you get that!.!.!.could be very dangerous!! I'm not letting my daughter get it after I read that!.

are you going out of the country for new job it wont be that painful just let the nurse know that your scared and it will be ok looking away from the needle can be helpful yes the hepititis shot is usually put on a different arm from the rest of the shotsWww@Answer-Health@Com
