I can't sleep?!?!


Question: I can't sleep!?!!?
I've always had a hard time going to sleep and staying asleep, but for about the past 3 months its been absolutely terrible!.
I'm not having any caffeine and I'm waking up at a set time (10am now, since I'm on summer break)!.
It takes me about a 1 1/2 hours to fall asleep on a really good day, and on really bad days I don't fall asleep at all!. I wake up a ton during the night!. Sometimes it's because of a noise!. Tiny noises wake me up (birds chirping outside, even when my window is shut, will wake me up)!. And sometimes I have no idea why I wake up!.
This is driving me INSANE!.
So how can I fall asleep and stay asleep!?
And would I still hear a somewhat loud alarm clock if I slept with ear plugs in!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you are have a lot of depressing issues to deal with in you life!.

Stress causes depression and depression causes loss of sleep, loss of sleep makes it hard to deal with depression, etc!. !.!.!. sound familiar !?!?!?

Go see your health care proffessional and get some medication!. There are several very good medications out there that can really help!. BUSPAR is one I have taken in the past!. Effexor is another!. The Effexor take several weeks to work, but it is more effective in the long run!.

And, just remember this Stress and Depression are medical problems the same as Strep Throat or Pneumonia and frequently it needs medical treatment to be properly dealt with, so your not crazy or a "mental case", you just need some temporary help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i went to the doctor a couple days ago and i was reading a pamhlet that said that if you want to go to sleep do not do anything active 4 hours before you go to sleep or something like that!. and if you feel the need to do a couple sit ups or push-ups and take a hot warm bath and just close your eyes and count sheep seriously it worked for me!. either that or change the tv to some paid programming lmfao they will knock you out faster than anything haha X]Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. get a doctor!.
2!. get a prescription for sleeping pills!. and ask for non-addictive ones!. so you don't always have to depend on the pills to sleep!.
3!. have a designated time to sleep and always go to bed at that time!.
4!. just clear your minds of things!. honestly thats what i do!. if i want to stay awake!. i think about this girl, i don't know why i'm telling you this but yeah!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In the past I had the same problem!. If I lay in bed it sometimes takes me 2 hours to pass out!. So I usually get on the computer and when I fall asleep at the computer then I head to bed!. I would awake due to remembering that I had to do things or my mind was racing!. I found that I was adhd at the age of 32 just 6 months ago!. The medication that I take helps me fall asleep and get a good nights sleep!. I don't know if that would be your case or if you are just a light sleeper!. My husband used to work graveyard and sleep during the day with small children running around and screaming in the next room!. What I would do to muffle the sound is stick a fan in the room generally on high and not necessarily pointed at him but against the wall and this would muffle the sound so much that he would sleep for 10 hours sometimes and never hear anything!.
