Woke up with a dull ache in calf?!

Question: Woke up with a dull ache in calf!?
This happens to me frequently, waking up with a dull ache in one of my calves!. I don't know how else to describe the feeling, and it feels like it's coming from deep inside my leg!.

I'm a healthy young adult male!. I didn't exercise yesterday, but the day before I played basketball and worked out chest and triceps!.

I don't know if this is related, but I slept for about 10 hours!. Didn't get much quality sleep, though!. Woke up at least 20 times during the night (much more than the several times I typically wake up each night)!.

What could be the cause of this ache!? And any possible home treatments!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well, it's highly likely that you strained the muscle while playing and/or working out the day before!.

It could also be from the way you sleep, especially since you say it's happened before, even when not working out!.

I doubt it's anything to worry about, but if you are concerned, you can ask your doctor!.

Oh, as far as home remedies!.!.!.!.you probably want to do some stretching exercises for your calves!. This helps mine when they are sore!. Seems to help them heal faster!.

Also, swimming works wonders on sore muscles!. I don't know why really, considering you keep using your muscles when you swim!. But I've gone swimming after waking up sore all over when I exercised too much, and the next day when I wake up the soreness is gone completely!. Maybe you can give it a try!.

Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i'm not a doctor but i would try to elevate your leg alternating heat and ice for 10 to 15 minutes at a time!. if you don't find any relief from that, i would call the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
