I classify doctors in the same category as auto mechanics -
they poke, probe, stick fingers & tools here & there, then come up with a diagnosis!. They then proceed to try to rectify the problem in any number or ways - usually not explaining any of it to you!. Then, if the "fix" doesn't work they try another way to fix it, then another, then another !. !. !. For cars there's the "lemon law" - for people's health you have to hire a lawyer & file a suit - go figure!
Perhaps a better word would be experimenter - just like the pharmecutical companies who use the public as guinea pigs!.

the thing is not everybody can be prescribed the same medicine and it may be changed several times until its the right medicine the right amount so that probably why its called ' Practice "doctors go to college10 years or sometimes even more if they want to specialize in a field like a heart doctor its there" field of Practice "Www@Answer-Health@Com
