Need some advice about hubby :0(( What would u do?!

Question: Need some advice about hubby :0(( What would u do!?
My husband fell down my stairs out back!. the last step is cemented, and well he hit that hard and broke his ribs Left side!. The hospital told us that they treat Bruised ribs and Broken Ribs the same way, Pain Meds!. They can't wrap him because they say the lungs need to be Expanding correctly otherwise he can catch Nuemonia!.
This happened Sunday 6 days ago, he is taking Vicatins, and does not sleep at all!. When he sits or stands he can't breathe!.!.!. He is still in alot of pain, but the doctors don't seem to worry too much!.
We are in the middle of remodeling our house!. He was in the middle of a project! What would you do!? Should i really get on him and ask him to try to finish, to try to do what he can to help out!? Or just still allow him to just sit on the couch and be miserable!?
Is it right for me to be a tad bit upset!? But is it right for me to allow him to just suffer!? Or have him try to do something to get his mind off things!.!.!.

Just curious,

The doctors gave you sound advice!. If they wrap the chest the lungs can not expand and fluid will build up in them!. The he will have pneumonia AND broken ribs!. It going to take time for them to heal!. Its not like your arm or leg where you can immobilize it!. The ribs move every time you take a breath!.
Vicodin is a good medication and should make him comfortable!. You should ask your physician if he can supplement the Vicodin with Tylenol or ibuprofen in between his Vicodin!.
Don't be too upset!. It is a painful injury!. It the pain persists beyond his prescription, he should see his physician again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the pain meds are not helping and he continues to have difficulty breathing he should return to the doctor!. Worse case scenario he has a punctured lung from the broken ribs, but take him back if the medicine is not controlling his pain!. He could end up with pneumonia from not controlling the pain because he won't take deep breaths!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
