What might be a reason for my ligaments in my ankle always 'clicking'?!

Question: What might be a reason for my ligaments in my ankle always 'clicking'!?
I've had this since I can remember but the sound has gotten worse over the last few years!.

Whenever I walk down the stairs, my ankle makes loud clicking noises!. My mom makes fun of me by saying that if I ever had to sneak out for whatever reason, I would never be able to because that sound would get me caught!.

It can be funny I suppose but, should I be worried!?

It doesn't hurt or anything, it's just annoying!.

I think I'll go to the doctor regardless of the suggestions I get but, I wouldn't mind getting some suggestions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is nitrogen buildup in the joint!. When you don't use a joint a lot, or you rest it for a long time, nitrogen builds up in it!. When you use it, it pops!. If you were to try jogging a bit daily, or maybe doing ballet!. I don't know, just flex the ankle a lot and get all of the nitrogen out every day, then I would be willing to bet that it will be quiet when you are walking casually!. Obviously it will pop a lot when you first start bending it purposely!.

No don't worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have less joint fluid!. i!.e!. synovial fluid!. There is nothing that you can do about it!. However, this is harmless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
