Left side of chest hurts?!


Question: Left side of chest hurts!?
One hour after Yoga and Tai chi class (First time going), I started to feel pain on the left side of my chest!. It was hurting a bit when I breathe but I thought it was nothing!. Once I got on bed, whenever I lay on my side, the pain would hurt even more, as if someone punched my chest or something!.!.!.!.!.
Whenever I bend over to reach something, I would feel the same pain, and its getting worse!.!.!.
What is this called!? And how do I treat it!?

I don't smoke, I'm 16 and weigh 121 lbs!.

This sounds a lot like a pulled muscle!. You did Yoga and Tai Chi just prior and with it being your first time, it is very possible!. The pain can come with position changes, breathing and regular activity!. You may even notice it without any activity!. I would recommend taking some tylenol or similar!. Also rest!. You probably over did it at the class!. If you are really worried about it, you could visit your doctors office just to confirm!. It should feel better soon!. Good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have probably stretched your chest muscle or a surrounding muscle!. Take a naproxen and try to relax!. If it was your first time going, you may just need to work it out a bit!. Yoga stretches your body to the limit and is very intense!. If the pain continues for more than a few days go to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
