Leg problems?!
Question: Leg problems!?
Okay!.!.!.I was jumping onto a hay bale in our field!. You know, the 'big marshmallows'!. They're taller than they look, so you have to get a running start!. So I ran towards the bale, and the step before jumping, my leg locked straight and I landed on it!.!.!.while it was locked!. I heard something pop!. I didn't fall or anything, just landed REALLY hard on the locked leg!. Well, it hurt like HEdoublehockeysticks!.
So!. Now the leg continuously feels like it's about to spasm!. If I move my foot, it hurts, and I can't put my leg absolutely straight!.
I'm not naucious or anything, but it still hurts REALLY bad!.
My questions are: what is the most likely thing that happened!? Should I see a doctor!?
Thanks :) (ow!)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
ACLs usually involve some kind of twisting motion of the knee during injury!. It is also classic to feel unstable after it until it is fixed!.
You may have done a lot of things!. If it hurts to move your foot, you may have actually broken a part of your femur or tibia!. It may be meniscus, which is causing you to not be able to extend your knee, it may be a sprain of many possible ligaments or joint capsules!.
Either way-if you have insurance, see an MD!. If you don't and are going to have to pay out of pocket, go see a PT!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
