Head cut itching and burning?!
Question: Head cut itching and burning!?
I hit my head while wakeboarding yesterday and got a bad cut!. It's like an inch and a half long and was like half an inch deep!. I had to get internal stitches and external staples!. I don't really understand what this means as it is on the back of my head and I cannont see it!.
Anyways, it feels like it burns right now and I want to itch it really badly but I know I'm not supposed to!. Does anyone have experience with this and know what I can do to make it feel better!? The doctor said it would be painful and that I shouldn't worry and the itching is normal too, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the pain less noticible to myself!.!.!.!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you tried an ice pack!? Like 15-20 minutes at a time!.
It will probably itch for quite awhile while it is healing, and you will want to scratch it, but don't; that will make it hurt more and you may do damage to the wound!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
