Should i get a tetanus booster?!

Question: Should i get a tetanus booster!?
It's been 8 years since my last tetanus shot and i know the guidelines say you're covered by this for 10 years but!.!.!.
i'm really clumsy and accident prone and cut myself a lot, studying art means no matter how well i cover the wounds i tend to get paint, ink and other substances in them!. Do you think i should ask my doctor about a booster shot or will i just be wasting their time!?!

Please don't tell me to not cut myself so much it seriously is accidental and nothing i can prevent!!

Thanks :o)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wouldn't hurt you to get a new one!

Getting paint and such in a wound won't cause you to get Tetanus anyways! So you have no worries about that!.

Might cause the cut to become infected!! Since you're accident prone though just make sure to keep your hands clean!.!.!. make Polysporin (Neosporin) your friend! And Always change your bandaids!!!

Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you are right in understanding that tetnus shots are good for ten years, and most doctors will tell you that you should not get a booster shot more than once every ten years as they are very effective!. Like anti-biotics, too many, too often, it is dangerous because they become less effective the more you have it adminsitered ----, so if you are accident pron and worried about the materials used in art classes and work, you should talk to your doctor, but I am sure that your doctor will explain that it is not necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's fine to get another one - 10 years is the suggested max time to wait!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

8 years is close enough to get oneWww@Answer-Health@Com
