Ear cartilage question??!
Question: Ear cartilage question!?!?
I had been wanting to get my cartilage((ear)) pierced for a while so on my 16th birthday my mom let me get it done!. I got it done at Claire's, so they used the gun!.
3 weeks later, I woke up one morning and the earring went through my ear!. It was bleeding, and the diamond was stuck inside the skin!. I don't know how to describe it any better than that, sorry!.
But yesterday I read something on the internet saying that you are supposed to get your cartilage pierced with a needle and it had the reasons why and stuff!.
So since I got it done with a gun instead of the needle, could that be a reason why the earring went through my ear!?!? Oh, and I sleep on my stomach, so my ear touches my arm a bit when i'm sleeping!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its definately not the gun!. i have 2 piercings in my left cartilage and one in my right!. its usually not a good idea to sleep on the ear that's been pierced!. it may feel uncomfortable but you have to do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
no that isnt the reason!. the gun doesent make a larger hole than a needle!. you must have done it in your sleep!. mabe your back got cought on your pillow and you turned over!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
It's possible the person using the 'gun' pressed a bit too hard when piercing!. 3 weeks is long enough; call "Claire's" & ask their advice on how to care for your ear!. Don't wait!. Good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
