Chest pains when swallowing?!
Question: Chest pains when swallowing!?
I have been getting slight pains in my chest when I am swallowing food!. It feels as though maybe my food pipe may be swollen/inflammed!.
I was hungover yesterday, and vomited once, and was later bothered with a little heartburn!. I don't know if this is related!.
Also, last week, I was bothered with catarrh/sore throat etc, so I'm not sure if it could possibly be a viral infection!.
Has anyone else had this pain!? It's fine when I'm drinking/eating yoghurts etc, but when I eat something thicker i!.e!. bread/fruit chews, it hurts on the way down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It does sound as if your oesophagus is inflamed!. This could have been triggered by your viral illness, but is more likely to be due to GORD, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease!. You could try things like Gaviscon for a short period, but if the symptoms persist go see your GP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
is possible that you may have grasto reflux its acid caused by fizz drinks like lager coke etc!.!.!.!.!. i have i got it for life on tablets for life i take omperzole 20 mg brillant stuff!. best advice goto doctors ask them make appointment for you at hostipal they put a spec ail camera to see if got grasto reflux !. i also use triscalte magnesium brillant stuff get that for counter good luck ,Www@Answer-Health@Com
Sounds like GERD Usually one of the best over the counter medications for GERD is Zantac 150!. It's the same thing most doctors prescribe the only difference is name brand!. Through a doctor it would be a generic version!. anyway my recommendation is take one in the morning and one in the evening!. If that still doesn't help then go see your doctor for other treatments!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i had the same problem,my stomach contents back up into the esophagus!.you'd better visit a doctor ASAP or it may get serious and it probably causes esophagus concern!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
To me it sounds like the acid's beginning to wear away at your esophagus!. You probably should get that checked out!. It might also just be heartburn, and acid reflux if its frequent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
