All my new shoes rub the back of my foot. What can I do?!

Question: All my new shoes rub the back of my foot!. What can I do!?
Over the past year, I have brought 4 new pairs of shoes!. Not posh going out shoes or anything, but casual trainer type shoes!. I have brought a pair of Vans, Babycham, DC and Dunlop!.

In the shop the are comfy but as soon as i start to wear the normally, the back of the shoe rubs the back of my feet to the brink of bleeding, painful blisters which stops me wearing these shoes again!.

I only have 2 pairs of comfy shoes and they are both so tatty and holey now!. They are Dunlop too!. My new Dunlop look exactly the same, but these rub too!.

None of my shoes are leather, all rubber, textile ones that are in shops!.

I cant wear my skank shoes with holes in!. I want to wear my new shoes in comfort and i cant and its really affecting my confidence as im always paranoid about what people think about my disgusting comfy shoes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
go check out the foot care section of your local pharmacy or drug store, Dr Scholls makes these small pads you can put on your foot to prevent that kind of irritationWww@Answer-Health@Com

This is what my mama used to do with my new shoes!.

Take a large potato and slice half way into it!.
Insert the back of the shoe into the cut
Leave overnight!.
The leather should be softened!.

I believe the idea is that the starch will soften the leather, causing it to stretch when you next wear them and be more comfortable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ensure the shoes fit you properly! And apply a plaster or micropore tape (this tape stays on better and is less likely to come off if it is of good quality) or just wear a pair of socks until they're broken in! Also give your feet time to rest from the shoes! And ensure good hygiene!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try sticking a band aid over the area of your foot that rubs against the shoe!. The band aid should then be in contact with your shoe, this should reduce the friction on your skin which in turn should take care of your problem!. It worked for me, I hope it works for you!.
Enjoy your new shoes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem, but I find that if I wear the new shoes untill a blister starts, then don't wear them until the blister's healed, the next time I wear them I don't blister again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Boot's and other chemists sell a Scholl heel pad, this sticks inside the shoe and may help!. Go to the foot care section of the shop!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had that problem too and what I do is put a band-aid that has the color of your skin at the back of your foot and that's how I solved my problem!Hope I've helped! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can buy things to put in heels so that it doesnt hurt perhaps you could try putting those in your shoes to see if this has any effect!? If not try going into boots or something and ask - im sure they can help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wear big, cushy bandaids where you get the blisters!. It will prevent them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This may be old fashioned but when we were younger my Mum used to rub a bar of soap across the back!. Always worked for us!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rub Vaseline in where they rub!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

why does it have to be dunlop, u could also try wering a shuppo (the shoes which has no back) so it doesn't rub against the back of ur leg, also u could wear thick socks so be soft against ur leg if it still gets rubbed!.!.!.
well u will figure it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
