Can I sue hospital?!

Question: Can I sue hospital!?
My daughter had blood drawn in hospital!. After blood was drawn she had extreme pain up and down her arm!. Couldn't even touch her arm lightly!. Went back into ER!. saw nurse who just told her to keep moving her arm and it should be better!. Waited a 1/2 hour in waiting room to see Dr!. and then another 15 minutes once we got in!. My daughter's arm was numb at this point and fingers were tingling!. She couldn't flip her arm over (was in same position as when blood was drawn)!. She continuted to have extreme pain whenever arm was touched!. Told us to go home and take tylenol every 2-4 hours!. Went to my regular dr!. and he said she had neuropathy and they hit the radial nerve!. This was a week ago, her arm still has some pain!. I would say it is 90% back to full motion, but there is residual pain!. I'd like to sue hospital for negligence!. They said that no nerve was hit and let her go home with that diagnosis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds doubtful to me because:
- No permanent damage was done
- It's hard to prove, once it heals, how will anyone be able to show the problem!?
- I doubt there is all that much they could have done differently at the hospital other than prevent it in the first place
- What did your doctor tell you to do!? Chances are it was similar to what the hospital did tell you to do (Take a light pain killer until the nerve is a little less tender and heals)
- There was no lost work time, wages, etc

Sorry that happened to her though, must really have been awful!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is hard to see where they are putting a needle in when they draw blood i have had blood drawn several times and had this happen once it took about 2 weeks for all the pain to go away but you cannot sue the hospital, it didn't do any long term damage and she didn't die or get severely sick!.
You could try if you would like but it would be a waist of your time and money because the hospital probably wouldn't settle on this matter!. Hope this helps and good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

first of all see lf you can get any pictures of her episode she had at the hospital then get a hold of a Lawyer and explain to your Lawyer what happen and see lf anything can be done about this!. lf she has a family doctor then talk with your family doctor as wellWww@Answer-Health@Com

You can sue anyone for anything, however you probably would not win!. Unless your daughter suffers serious long-term problems, you don't really have a case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doubtful!.!.!. some cases hospitals will settle, this is not one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
