Question: I have an unknown bug bite: it's red, swollen, and very itchy!. Ideas!?
Today I noticed I have a bug bite on the outside of my right hand just under the thumb!. It's red, swollen around the area of the bite, and kind of hard to the touch!. It itches really bad!. Bactine doesn't help at all!. I know it's not a mosquito bite because it looks very different from them!. Any ideas as to what it could be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

As other answers suggested, it sounds like a spider bite!. Almost every part of the US has the risk of some sort of poisonous spider (black-widow!. brown recluse) biting although there are some places where that risk is more significant!. The chances are that it is not a poisonous spider that bit you!. However, any type of bite (spider or otherwise) could cause "cellulitus" (more or less an allergic reaction) and this is what it sounds like you have!. There is that chance, however, that it is something more serious!. Please play it safe and see a doctor tonight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be a tick!. You may want to go to the doc for lymes!. I've known three people that have had those exact "symptoms" and they were all checked pos for Lymes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
