Could be a muscle spasm in which case it will be over in a matter of minutes to an hour but you can help it by applying heat pressureWww@Answer-Health@Com

i had the same thing happen to me about 7 years, since then i have had mri's done that show degeneritive disc bulging, protrusion, and fissular tears!. i have been on almost all opiates, none work anymore, now i;m on the fentanyl patch which helps, but doesn't cure!. if you get anx-ray done itmay show NOTHING, and if youre still in pain ask for an mri that will show if something is going on with your back and go from there!. until then your doctor should be able to give you a narcotic and a muscle relaxer!. best of luck--it sucks living with this pain!. Iam 32 y/o and my dr!. said my back looks like a52 y!.o person, little scary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe a pulled muscle!?
my mom had that happen and went to the doctor
and he lied her down on her back
and moved her legs all the way up and down and it helped
just relieve the pain cause it streched the back muscle out he saidWww@Answer-Health@Com

Weird thing to consider, it could be from that time of the month!. I used to get horrible lower back pains, and it blew me away when i found out what caused them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you pulled a muscle!. I've done it many times!. Best thing is to lay on a heating pad!. It'll clear upWww@Answer-Health@Com
