Just started jogging - ear pain question.?!

Question: Just started jogging - ear pain question!.!?
I jogged this morning, (temp about 70 outside) this was my second time back jogging since I stopped about 3 months ago!.

After about !.8 miles I noticed severe pain in my right ear!. Almost like being stabbed with a q-tip!. I walked the rest of my route, and the pain stayed with me for about 30 minutes, eventually just feeling like heat and pressure in my ear!.

What causes this!? Is it normal!? Will is go away eventually!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
never heard that before, but i'm guessing it was caused by being overheated and/or being dehydrated or lack of oxygen to your muscles/brain may have caused the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you wearing headphones!? When I jog with headphones that trap moisture in my ears I am more prone to outer ear infections which feel a lot like being stabbed with a q-tip, similar to swimmers ear!. It took me several different ENTs before figuring out a preventative eardrop that works!.

Hope you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i live in the mountains (6,000+ feet) and this used to happen to me when i first started to run after moving here!.
eventually, altitude acclimation will cause the pain to go away
-or-
sudden decrease in elevation causing pressure to build up!.
hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try jogging at a lower altitudeWww@Answer-Health@Com
